Hi Pauline, You are amazing. I loved the story you did in Kitchen Sisters class on Katrina almost 3 years ago; I was the auditrix, & still remember your work. Your life/career progress is fantastic--not surprising, either! I will click on the Darfur piece after I send this. I'm still a public info person at UC Davis for the campus and statewide sustainable agriculture programs--wonderful changes I've seen over 21 years. Food/ag is connected to everything, of course. I'm working on a story on a painting we have by Chiura Obata, a Cal art professor who taught my dad. My dad bought the last painting Obata did before being interned in WWII. Now I'm friends with Obata's granddaughters, who are my age. Odd twists of life. Your enthusiasm & compassion are evident--& contagious. Cheers!
